40 years ago this week, Prince released the soundtrack album to his film of the same name, giving fans a preview of what was in store (the film would premiere just over a month later). It was Prince's first #1 album, certified 13x Platinum with total sales at 25 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time.
